Long-distance moving costs from West Palm Beach, FL

Leaving Palm Beach County for another metro? Three Friends Moving runs its own trucks on every major lane out of West Palm Beach, from the short hop to Miami all the way up to Atlanta. Each shipment travels padded, strapped, and listed on a manifest, under coverage we document before the date and authority we hold ourselves. Start with the tool below for a bracket, then request the full survey-based figure built on what is actually in your home.

Bracket Your Long-Distance Move

Estimated cost: $1,580 – $2,220

A bracket, nothing firmer; the exact figure depends on your full inventory and the access at each address. Request a written quote — free, and nobody hounds you afterward.

The three inputs that set the price

Local jobs bill on hours and crew size. Past roughly 30 miles, the math switches, and only three things meaningfully move the figure. Once we measure them, the total locks, and nothing at the destination can reopen it.

  • Volume. What actually rides the truck, counted item by item at the survey, anchors everything.
  • Mileage. Highway distance from your Palm Beach County door to the destination door.
  • Access. A driveway unload is one job; a tower with a reserved elevator and a COI on file is a different one, and the quote reads both addresses honestly.

Set brackets on the lanes we run most

The six destinations below account for most of our long-distance calls. Each row is one committed bracket covering the reserved truck, the crew, diesel, any tolls, quilted pads, and standard materials.

What the bracket already contains

The figure you sign is complete, not introductory. The components that ambush people on cheap weight-based quotes are built in here:

  • A truck reserved for you. Your shipment shares space with nothing, so delivery never waits on someone else’s unload getting sorted out first.
  • One crew throughout. The movers who load in Palm Beach County ride the lane and unload at the destination; nobody new takes over partway.
  • Diesel and every toll. Turnpike gantries, the Alligator Alley plaza, all of it prepaid through our SunPass and absorbed before you sign. Our I-95 lanes carry no tolls at all.
  • Padding, strapping, and the manifest. Furniture rides blanketed and tied off, with each item checked onto the list at loading and off it at delivery.
  • Disassembly and reassembly. Beds, tables, desks, and shelving that come apart for transport get rebuilt at the new address before we leave.
  • Valuation. Released-value protection at $0.60/lb per item is standard; full-value coverage typically prices at 1–3% of declared value and folds into the quote on request. Claims stay open for nine months after delivery.

How a long-haul move unfolds

The sequence holds on every lane, and a single coordinator owns your file from first call to final box:

  • Survey first, promises second. In person or by video, we record what ships. That inventory is the foundation of the locked figure and the reason no surprise can surface later.
  • Load and secure. The crew wraps, dismantles what needs dismantling, and braces the load with bars and straps so the highway cannot shake anything loose.
  • Track and adjust. Dispatch follows the truck and the weather around it: summer storm cells over the Turnpike, congestion on I-4, the rare icy morning north of Atlanta.
  • Rebuild and inspect. At delivery the crew places rooms, reassembles furniture, and removes the spent materials. You walk the manifest before signing anything final.
Worth knowing: the interstate authority is ours alone and, alongside in-state. Cargo coverage runs to $1M, every mover is on our workers’ comp policy, and when a destination building demands a COI, we produce it at no charge.

When the dates refuse to line up

Long-distance closings rarely cooperate; one home empties before the next one opens. Our climate-controlled storage in Palm Beach County holds your shipment on either side of the trip, under the same quote, and rolls it out the day you choose. Custody stays with us throughout.

Long-distance pricing questions

Why is this priced flat instead of hourly?

Distance flips the cost drivers. Hours and headcount govern a local job; volume, mileage, and access govern a long one. We measure those three, set the total, and lock it, so nothing at the destination curb can rewrite the contract.

Does my shipment sit in a warehouse along the way?

No. It travels straight through on one truck from your old address to your new one. If you need storage on either end, our own facility in the county provides it without involving any outside company.

Can you move my car too?

We do not haul vehicles on our trucks, but we arrange a licensed auto-transport company and schedule it so the car and the household land within the same stretch of days.

How much do I pay up front?

A reservation deposit of roughly 10 to 15 percent secures the date and credits straight against the contract total. The balance is due at delivery, after you have inspected everything.
